In 13 seasons with the Chicago Bears, RB Walter ‘Sweetness’ Payton literally rewrote the NFL record book with his ball-carrying feats. Most notably he rushed 3,838 times for 16,726 yards and 110 touchdowns – all NFL records at the time of his retirement from football. Inducted into Pro Football’s Hall of Fame in 1993, many consider Payton to be the best all-around football player who ever lived. Sadly Walter died of cancer in 1999 at the age of 45 but that has not diminished his greatness in the minds and memories of Bears fans in the least. Our SGA Impact Series features high-impact athletes in high-impact framings. Available with 16×20 photographs, the presentation includes double matting with cut-out feature, in this case Walter’s famous number ’34,’ retired by the Chicago Bears. This beauty is part of our UNSIGNED SGA Signature Series and includes a great 11×14 photo of a leaping Walter and SGA Exclusive Inset Plate that includes laser-engraved facsimile Payton signature and ‘Sweetness.’ This is a great pieces of Sports Art from one of the greatest players in NFL history. Go Bears!
